Fascinating insight into the indigenous burial habits from long ago. Amazing volcanic landscape and very reasonable entry fee.

We took a day off the beach and visited secluded Agaete valley to check the coffee plantation in Agaete. It was a lovely experience. Short walk through some coffee tree area, seeing different local fruit and other plants, meeting chicken which live on the property. Walking up you can see oranges, mango, avocado, figues... all in natural habitat. If it is raining or after rain which is not very frequent you can ask for plastic poncho :-) The tour ends in the sheltered seating area, where owners of the facility will explain every detail of small family coffee production company and also entertain you with description of details of steps of coffee production, while you sip on the cup of their yummy rare coffee and bite on delicious home made pastries. You will get to try manual coffee bean roasting as well. Of course there is some small shopping of local products possible, the roasted almonds are addictive. :-) cards are accepted :-) Both owners are very friendly and nice :-) parking on the premises free of charge. Highly recommend :-)

Bodega Los Berrazales

We visited today and completed the tour for 8euros - lots of information about process to produce coffee and wine as well as the many fruits grown and a potted history about Canarian dogs- finished off with some wine, cheese, coffee and cake to taste. It was interesting and delivered by friendly staff, passionate about the bodego and it's productions. No hard sell here though you will want to buy - it was relaxing, welcoming and I'd recommend a visit - I'd definitely go again ♥️

Las Salinas

Natural Pool

Reviewed By MPFin - Tampere, Finland

Our family of four (children 9 and 11) really enjoyed snorkeling at Las Salinas de Agaete. Water in the pools is clear and you can spot different kind of fish. We had short wetsuits as the water is quite chilly at this time of year. Also bought full facial snorkeling masks from Decathlon and have to say they funtioned excellently. You could see very well as they won't get steamed. There are toilets on the beach. Make sure to bring water and snacks with you and you'll have a beautiful snorkeling day. Would definitely recommend to all who enjoy swimming and/or snorkeling in sea water which is calm and protected from waves.
