It is a special place, full of authentic handicrafts of Costa Rica with a story to tell, designed thinking in the comfort of our visitors and the responsible use of the resources. It is a learning experience of the Costa Rican culture. During 20 minutes, we take our visitors from the definition of handicrafts in Costa Rica, its characteristics and classification, to the understanding of authenticity and how it can be found in any handicraft of the world. Pequeña tienda de arte original donde el enfoque principal es crear arte a partir de materiales reciclados, con el fin de tener un impacto positivo en el ambiente y de transmitir un mensaje positivo.

En Galeria Estudio nos dedicamos a producir y ofrecer arte original y local, utilizando diferentes tecnicas para sus creaciones como: el moldeado y esmaltado de ceramica, repujado de metales, calado en materiales de coco y metales, tallado de maderas y piedras, tecnica de macrame, esculturas, tecnicas en vidrio (vitrofusion), tecnicas de dibujo y pinturas en lienzos y mucho mas.

Coco Loco is a FAIR TRADE work shop & gallery for fine local crafts & artwork with a special focus on Costa Rican indigenous culture. It is located 14 km SE of La Fortuna on national route 702 (La Fortuna-San Ramon). Besides indigenous arts & Boruca masks Coco Loco also exhibits the original artwork (arte DK) of the owner, Ruth Deiseroth-Kweton, who works in her studio next to the gallery. As a mixed-media artist Ruth uses any kind of material of the surrounding rainforest to paint and work on: wooden artefacts and surfaces, plant leaves, stones etc. She creates masks, vases, mirrors, crosses and paintings.

This is a fine wood work gallery, owned by a local artist that have 30 years giving art, making his own and at the same time exposin the most value works from other local artist around Costa Rica, a place where you will get art and experience. The is something there, for each of us!
