We traveled to Belize in February 2018 to meet some friends in Placencia to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. We first went to Placencia with them in 2011 on their 44 ft sailboat and were anchored in the harbor for 4 days enjoying the small town's people, restaurants, etc. This time we flew into Belize City and were met at the airport by Placencia Shuttles and they drove us to Placencia which is about a 3 hour drive from Belize City. It was a pleasant experience and the driver told us about the countryside and towns we went through which was very interesting to learn about Belize. At the end of our stay, they picked us up at the designated time and drove us back to Belize City and to the airport to catch our flight back home. They made a long drive very interesting and pleasant.
