Teleferic de Montjuic

The Montjuïc cable car has been the most special way to discover the charms of Barcelona for many years. Its 750 meters of route allow you to enjoy unparalleled views, culminating your journey in the Montjüic Castle, on the top of a mountain that represents the living history of the city. If you are looking for a cable car in Barcelona, the Telefèric opens its doors every day from 10:00 in the morning until sunset, depending on the season. You will enjoy the most emblematic symbols of Barcelona as never before, such as the Sagrada Familia, the Camp Nou or the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc. You will have Barcelona at your feet! Hygiene and safety measures: We control the user capacity in the facilities. We reinforce the hygiene and disinfection measures in the cabins and in the rest of the installations to guarantee your safety. We provide you with hand disinfection points.

When a beautiful clear day presented itself, my husband and I decided to spend the day at Parc de Montjuic. To make the most of our time, we opted to take the cable car as the quickest and easiest way to get to the top of Montjuic. I bought round trip tickets on my phone the morning we decided to go and got an immediate email confirming my purchase. Round trip tickets cost €11.43 per person saving us 10% by buying online. To get to the Montjuic cable car, we took metro line 3 to Paral-lel station and without leaving the station we found the corridor to the Montjuic funicular and took the funicular one stop to Parc de Montjuic. With the T10 card, the funicular transfer was free. I presented my confirmation email at the ticket office and got our tickets to use for our cable car trips. When we arrived shortly after opening, there was no queue so we hopped on the first available cable car. It was a large car and we were lucky to have it all to ourself. The ride to the top covered 750 meters and was quite quick. We loved the beautiful views over Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea. Our ride down after exploring the castle at the top was just as lovely. Highly recommend this cable car.

Free with your travel card so why not, funny little short train ride linking up the tube and Teleferic to the top of Montjuïc. Very short but sweet.

Port Cable Car

My wife and I recently visited Barcelona, Spain for the first time. The Teleferico del Puerto was listed on Tripadvisor for Things To Do and we took their advice from the reviews. We took the Metro down to the port area from where our hotel was and walked down to the beach and then to the Teleferico del Puerto Tower where the cable cars leave from. We purchased our two round trip tickets and waited for the elevator to go up to the waiting area. We had about a fifteen to twenty minute wait which was good. The cable cars are small and get filled up fast so my advice is to try and get a good window spot as soon as you get in... The views from the cable car were amazing and the ride was fun. When we got to the other side of the line decided to visit the outdoor bar that had a great view of Barcelona...It is an excellent spot for an Estrella Damm, glass of wine, or SanGria .. . The Teleferico del Puerto was a great choice and we would both recommend it to anyone looking for some fantastic views of Barcelona, the skyline and its harbor...

Lycabettus Funicular

An exhilarating walk up in the splendid sunshine was ideal to appreciate the changing landscape. Spent about an hour at the summit. Dazzling were the vistas in the brilliant clarity. We looked forward to the funicular on the downward trip. With no queue and waiting only a few minutes we took front row seats. Rewarded with excellent panoramas during the short descent.
