I went to Pura Veda for a 3 week Ayurveda and Yoga teachers training in January 2021. It was a beautiful experience ... just can't say enough good things!! It was a yoga sanctuary / oasis in a natural setting with its own permaculture, mended daily by the family and Ronald. Amazing Ayurvedic meals!! And, I stayed in the Western Air Temple. which was by far the BEST accommodation on the property. It was up on a hill, with sides that rolled up on the tent allowing for the sounds of nature, including the holler monkeys and the ocean, to surround you as you slept and beautiful daytime views. Highly recommended!!

This little beach is wonderful. The ocean is calm (south side) and warm. Its a great place for kids who are just learning to snorkel to visit. The fish are bright and there are many different types to see in a small area and only a shirt distance from the shore. It gets very hot mid day, so come prepared with lots of water, a hat and a sun shirt. If you go early you can secure a partly shaded spot under a tree. There is a street cart style food stand, with coco frios and other snacks. The vibe is fishing town and the scene is mellow and friendly. A must see if in the area.
