Amazing museum with so many fossils from sea dinosaurs. The introduction video at the start is stellar, really well made & it helps you picture the dinosaurs as they would have lived. As other reviews said, the dinosaurs here are completely different from the dinos at the Winton museums, so be sure & do both!

We offer the opportunity for guests at Kronosaurus Korner to find fossils themselves by visiting our Fossil Hunting Sites. By turning a few stones over you may uncover a fossil fish, squid, shark tooth, bivalve or giant marine reptile. Who knows, your discoveries may change how palaeontologist interpret Australia’s ancient past. The Fossil Hunting Sites are located 12 kilometres North of Richmond.

This is unlike anything else we've ever done in all our travels around Australia! Put on your daggiest clothes, hat, work boots and digging equipment, and be prepared to find something ancient. After obtaining your Fossil Hunting Permit from Kronasaurus Korner, head to the fossil sites just outside of Richmond. This is hot, hard fun, but stay with it, and you might find something incredible. Many smaller fossils can be kept by the fossicker, but if you discover a notable find, the Richmond fossil team will identify and assist. We only found a few small treasures, but the ladies near us had better luck with a notable find. You could easily spend a week finding fossils.
