Lowville /ˈlaʊvɪl/ is a town in Lewis County, New York, United States. The population was 4,982 at the 2010 census. The town is near the center of the county and is southeast of the city of Watertown. The Town of Lowville contains a village also named Lowville, which is the county seat. The town is named after Nicholas Low, an early landowner. Low was of Dutch descent, and had emigrated with his wife and three small children from a rural village outside Amsterdam in 1778.

This is a very special place to visit. The food is excellent ,The wine is award deserving, the service is friendly and the owners care about their customers . This venue is among the very best in the Tug hill region of the Adirondack Mountains. I would highly recommend Tug Hill Vineyards for weddings, honeymoons, anniversary's or someplace special to take the one you love.

This is a hidden gem. A small and remote park with unusual beauty. There are areas for camping, picnicking, swimming, hiking, and more. There is a fabulous hike around the rim of the gorge.
