Plage du Grand Travers

A great beach for me is the kind offered in South East Asia, so thats what I rate against (I'm thinking white sand, crystal clear Emerald waters, mountainous backdrop). So what we have here is a long Beach, not too busy, with grayish sand and murky (but warm) waters. A number of beach restaurants and hawkers selling drinks and foods patrolling the Sands. Very hard to find parking.

Don't waste your time and don't go unless you are a crazy casino lover. Very boring, just a waste of time.

La Grande Motte is a great beach place to go to--a man made city built in the 70's with all the pleasures of a summertime getaway--the beach is on the Mediterranean and the water is of course warm --this place is mostly visited by the French

Plage du Centre Ville - Point Zero

The beach is close to the center with cafes and restaurants all around. Sand was fine and the water seemed clean. Missing were waves, at least in September. Also it's quite shallow for at least 100 meters but I guess that varies with the tides. It seemed quite safe.
