Founded in 1848 by the German–Canadian settler . Only 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Toronto. Kleinburg possesses many charming and exciting attractions including one of the most pleasant main streets in the Greater Toronto Area with quaint stores, restaurants, and outdoor areas. The picturesque homes and restaurants, boutique stores , stunning art galleries, and surrounding forested landscape all make this small town the perfect place to spend a quality day trip with friends and family. Humber River Trails is a great place to hike, bike, picnic, and just relax.The McMichael Art Gallery is one of Canada’s best art collections , especially Canadian artists. The beautiful building surrounded by wood and acres of greenery makes for a peaceful and reflective day. Kleinburg was also the home of former prime minister Lester B. Pearson.
