Of the shops in George Town, Exuma, this is by far my favourite. There are some shops on the main drag near the grocery store, and this one is up the street a bit across from the Peace 'n' Plenty hotel. Sandpiper's selection is broader than the others, carrying more than just clothes, but books, pottery by the owner's daughter Jessica, vintage photographs, wind chimes, jewelry, some dining table items, cell phone cases, Caribbean themed Christmas ornaments, navigational maps, children's clothing and books, and lots more. It is also far more reasonably priced than the gift shop at the Sandals resort. It is the first place I go when I arrive on the island.

Elvis Water Taxi

When we boarded TJ one of the staff on the board was asking my wife ‘what’s your name’ my wife did not respond, she felt uncomfortable because he decided to ask for her name out of 20 people on the boat. Then half way on board Darren who calls himself ‘sugar daddy’ decides to touch my wife while she is in my lap and said ‘are you ok’ my wife was shocked when she felt him touching her. I was very surprised by the attitude of the staff on boar and how they harass tourists. These guys have no respect for visitors neither did they address my wife and I together if were ok instead of going to touch my wife directly. They think we here in their land and now they can treat us which ever way they want especially being in the middle of the water. They ruined our trip and ruined everything we have worked for to come to the island. We saved for 3 years to come here and enjoy our time peacefully. These guys know that’s not acceptable behavior but they decided to treat us this way because we are tourists not locals. They assume that we don’t live here so if they do disrespect us they won’t see us again or have to deal with reprocutions.

Just south of Prime Island Meats on the left side of the road, is a nondescript hole in the vegetation leading to the most beautiful beach you can ever imagine!!! You must go see it to believe it!

Exuma Markets

We came in here on 12/30 to get some supplies for our stay. There was an extensive produce area although it was a little "empty" that day. We found a bunch of great stuff anyway and then we came back later in the week... holy cow, the whole place was stocked with new, fresh food and there were so many people in there. We got tomatoes, cilantro, avocadoes, peppers, etc. The people are very nice here as well. They will accept your credit card but they will also charge you an extra 5% to use it. Also, they don't sell any alcohol here... a couple doors down is a liquor store with wine, beer and spirits.

Three Sisters Beach

We pulled into the parking lot where the gazebo is located. There were 3 local guys hanging out there. My husband's flip flops had busted out earlier so he had no shoes. From the gazebo, you had to walk across a rocky area to get to the beach. We decided it wasn't worth the effort after we had just finished up at Coco Plum.

St. Andrew's Anglican Church

Reviewed By misopiso88 - Seattle, Washington

We were walking around George Town for a few hours and stopped into St. Andrews to have a look around. The way the church sits at the edge of town, painted blue and white is so quaint we just couldn't help ourselves. The Church inside is beautiful and the grounds are lovely too. Definitely worth stopping by!
