When you are in Bobo, this mud mosque is a must-see. The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and the structure itself was somewhat fascinating to learn about. But nothing mindblowing about it. Just don't head out towards the public toilets in the back.

This made a welcome variation in our tour. Dugout canoes paddled out onto the lake to look for some of the resident hippos. We were told there are 30 or so in the lake. We saw 6 in the mid afternoon. Peaceful despite what looked like a constant stream of tourists. We didn't get as close to the hippos as I have on African Safaris but it was nevertheless fun and we did see some hippo v hippo action.

Very good French style local cheeses, they are closing the shop but keeping the cheese production up... better call ahead and order!

Está al lado del Gran Marché así es que la vas a ver sí o sí y vale la pena entrar para ver su techo y su espacioso interior, muy agradable. Soprende su 'majestuosidad' -ojo, para los cánones y ejemplos arquitectonicos en África- teniendo en cuenta además de que aunque Burkina Faso es un estado laico, el 60.5% de su población es musulmana y apenas un 19% cristiana.

The women of GAFREH recycle plastic bags which otherwise pollute their environment. They make magnificent hand bags and other unique objects out of it. On site, you can actually follow the various production steps of this incredible transformation!

The ubiquitous black plastic bags are finally put to good use !!
Because of the language difference, I was unable to talk much with the vendors about the origin of this store/idea. Fortunately, the products speak for themselves: wallets, pouches, small backpacks, glasses cases, dolls and other products made from those environmentally horrific bags.
Prices were very reasonable and the staff friendly.
