Not much going on but you can catch a land train that takes you around the area for a small fee. I think you can get a boat over to the other island but we didn't try this. I thought there was bike hire at the marina but it has closed down.

This church dominates the town of Ayamonte and is the starting point for the fantastically colourful 'Semana Santa' (Holy Week) processions in which 1000's take part. Not to be missed if possible. The church has many interesting side altars and gilded statues, and houses the large statues that are processed in the processions.

This tidal mill is a free activity close to Ayamonte. You can walk out from the parking lot opposite the bus station or drive the short distance from the road that heads East out of Ayamonte. There are displays about the tidal marshes, the mill process itself and eco technology. There is a short video about the millers life in Spanish with English subtitles. Don't allocate more than a hour, including time to look at the mill pond area for waders.
