The canoe ride to the waterfall took us about 30 minutes. The view was amazing! Butterflies were everywhere! You pass several small waterfalls along the way. There is a place to stop that sells food and drink. Prices were very reasonable, I think bottled water was less than 15 pasos (no price gouging).

We ended up here by accident after failing to make reservations at another attraction. The young local guide Isaura was very knowledgeable and knew when to talk and when to just stay quiet and let us enjoy the forest and wildlife. The cave itself is breath-taking and we saw scores of green parrots and swifts darting in and out of the cave to feed their young. It was a hot afternoon which made the walk more challenging but the entire pathway has manmade steps and Isaura allowed multiple rest stops for people to catch their breathe. Will remember this one for years to come.
