As of the 2010 United States Census, the city's population was 5,621, reflecting an increase of 245 (+4.6%) from the 5,376 counted in the 2000 Census. It is the county seat of Okeechobee County. The Lake Okeechobee area was the site of the worst effects of the 1928 Okeechobee Hurricane, the first recorded Category 5 hurricane in the North Atlantic and still one of the deadliest hurricanes ever to strike the US.

Shooting venues include two sporting clay courses, trap & skeet , wobble deck, 5-stand,covered pistol & rifle ranges, 10 cowboy action stages, Doc's .22 shooting gallery and competition park. Dining options are available 7 days a week. We feature a Friday night steak dinner buffet with live music, Saturday breakfast and shooters buffet, followed by a southern inspired Sunday brunch every week. Host your special event, wedding, fundraiser, corporate event, luncheon or holiday gathering in our Crystal Ballroom, Ranch House or Livery Stable accommodating up to 300 guests. Unusually beautiful facility. The buildings are relatively new (approx 8 yrs old) and the grounds were meticulously manicured, similar to a golf course. Lovely restaurant and guest cabins.

Time to Escape is an escape room experience with three rooms to choose from. The rooms are linked by story line. Each room contains a sequence of clues, riddles, hidden keys and combinations. In order to escape you must discover the room secrets. Rooms are private no matter the amount of people. You will not be grouped with people not in your party.

Found this place on Groupon, didn’t even know it existed in our small town. We had a great time and can’t wait to do their next room!! Staff was super friendly and would recommend this to anyone looking for some family fun or just a great time with friends.

One of my favorite places to stop! It's a small little place filled with big surprises! An amazing staff that you can tell loves each and every animal on site! All of the animals were well taken care of, and they even brought out a baby deer and a baby otter for us to see (which I loved!!) This is a great time for family and a learning experience all wrapped up in one you can't beat it!
