The Province of Pisa (Italian: Provincia di Pisa) is a province in the Tuscany region of central Italy. Its capital is the city of Pisa. With an area of 2,448 square kilometres (945 sq mi) and a total population of 421,642 (As of 2014), it is the second most populous and fifth largest province of Tuscany. It is subdivided into 37 comuni. With a history dating back to the Etruscans and Phoenicians, the province achieved considerable power and influence in the Mediterranean in the 12th and 13th centuries. Pisa, the provincial capital, is well known for its Leaning Tower which attracts tourists to the area with many historic landmarks.

Acrobatic Park The “Hanging Garden” Adventure Park is set among centuries-old oak trees in “Il Giardino” state forest at Riparbella (Pisa), where acrobatic courses through the treetops have been created and are open to all. There are 10 acrobatic courses – 1 for children over 90 cm tall - 3 for children over 110cm tall, and 6 for adults and youngsters over 140cm tall – consisting of a series of fixed and suspended platforms linked by crossings of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty. Safety and equipment Users are supplied with a harness, rope grabs with carabiners, pulley and a helmet to enable them to move along the Park’s various courses in complete safety. Before being allowed to attempt the courses, everyone has to attend a briefing with the Park’s instructors and pass a test on the practice course.
