Arenal History Inn is a small and cozy hotel located in La Fortuna de San Carlos, just two kilometers west from downtown, towards the Arenal Volcano. It has 10 beautiful wood bungalows with private parking, private bathroom, air conditioning, cable TV, terrace and a wonderful view of the Arenal Volcano. The property is surrounded by beautiful gardens and green areas for the enjoyment of the whole family. The hotel has a swimming pool for adults and children, wireless Internet in all its property, as well as a restaurant focused on delicious Argentinian cuisine. The hotel offers 2 different room categories, standard and superior.

Reviewed By johnvincentGreat place 10 cabins I think with a large restaurant/bar, nice staff and lovely pool. The cabins are spacious and are well appointed. Cabins nicely positioned and spaced out over looking gorgeous gardens with humming birds visiting the flowers so beautiful. Great pool with kiddies separate pool, tidy grounds. Just a few things to note, what’s happened to all the sink plugs in Costa Rica. In every hotel breakfast menu was Fruit followed by. American or Local. Always the same. American, two thin strips of bacon cooked too death and fried or scrambled eggs with toast. Or Local, rice, black, beans. & salad. Got very monotonous for 14 days. There is no safe, some cushions for the chairs would be nice and the chairs need oil at the joints stop creaking. Also there is no hair dryer.

5* secluded resort in La Fortuna
Reviewed By dmikeyhSpent 3 days here following great on-line reviews. We had done extensive research. To be fair, these didn’t do the resort justice. The resort is set privately adjacent to a large river, which wraps itself around the perfectly manicured grounds. The apartments are secluded and huge featuring a king sized bed and huge shower. Very tastefully decorated. We spent time on the balcony from where we observed monkeys and birds including hummingbird and Toucan. Very special. 50m from our apartment was a very well equipped outdoor kitchen. Despite it being shared, we only saw one other family use it. The fridge and freezer are compartmentalised so each apt has its own shelf to store breakfast/ food products. There were two immaculate pools on site, one with a slide and hot tub. As we were so busy during our short stay, we simply didn’t get an opportunity to use them unfortunately. The staff are very attentive and appear on golf carts to attend to any requests. I suggest you capture a contact number on arrival as there is no reception as such. Would definitely stay there again. Ideal for couples/ honeymooners, families and friends. So glad we chose it.

Reviewed By Cindy TIf you're looking for a safe, clean, modern place equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and Netflix-capable TVs conveniently located just 5 minutes of walking away from downtown La Fortuna, this place is for you! It was my second time staying here this year, and the hosts Patricia and Cesar exceeded my expectations once again. They're the perfect balance between allowing you your own space and providing you with helpful tips and spots for activities. Ask about their discounted pricing for activities and tours around the area! The hot springs are located a bit outside of the city, but easily reached with a car or a $2-3 Uber ride from RyA del Volcan. Any tours operating in La Fortuna that offer hotel pick-up & drop-offs will be able to pick you up and drop you off here as long as you provide the drivers with your address.

Amazing place
Reviewed By Belarminorojasvery nice place with only 2 cabins so it is very romantic and the views are just amazing, there is no restaurant or swimming pool, but there are a few bars and place to eat in el castillo, also la fortuna is not that far
