The Albert Gallery is one of two art galleries operated by Working Art Space Sheffield (WASS) in the famous northwest town of Sheffield. The gallery is situated at the High street end of Albert Street, Sheffield adjacent to King George V park. It is both an art gallery and a thriving hub of local arts related activity. The gallery is housed in a heritage-listed former drill hall built in 1912 for the 22nd Light Horse Company. The interior of the building has been transformed into a high-quality arts-based facility where you can view and purchase the exceptional work of local artists and artisans, enrol in one of the regularly held workshops plus check out the latest exhibition on display. If you take the self-guided audio tour of Sheffield's murals, which can be arranged through the Visitor Information Centre, you will eventually find yourself at the Albert Gallery where it boasts its own mural relating to the Drill Hall's history.

The Pioneer Gallery is one of two art galleries operated by Working Art Space Sheffield (WASS) in the famous northwest Tasmanian town of Sheffield. Sheffield is known as the Town of Murals and is also often referred to as "Tasmania's Outdoor Art Gallery". It is understandably both a magnet and a hub for local artists. The gallery is situated inside the Kentish Visitor Information Centre at 5 Pioneer Crescent. In this gallery you will find a wide variety of arts and crafts created by local artists. These works include paintings, photography, jewellery, textiles, sculptures and a variety of other hand-crafted works of art. Entry is free and the items on display are available for purchase. Pick up a Mosaic Pathway brochure from the Information centre or the Pioneer Gallery and stroll along the pathway which crosses historic King George V park to the Albert Gallery (WASS’s other gallery). The mosaic pathway begins behind the main carpark in town.
