Waterford's oldest church and this is a must visit close to the Apple Market/Viking triangle. Fascinating history, grand structure and interesting architecture. A place of peace and beauty inside and please respect those who may be set in pray.

Mount Melleray Abbey

What can I say about Mount Melleray Abbey. Its a very special place and a big part of my childhood as I have fond memories of stopping there on a Sunday spin. If you are looking for peaceful solitude, you will find it here at the Abbey. I have stayed at the guesthouse many times, my last occasion-November, not long after my Wedding for some reflection time. It's a place where you can really feel the presence of God and of our Lady. The Monks cannot do enough for you and you will feel most welcomed as their guest - home cooked food, friendly cafe, nice little gift shop, and above all - the friendliest of people. I always feel right at home there and Mount Melleray holds a special piece of my heart. Want a retreat, time to reflect, and recharge? Look no further!

On a sunny day this is a very pleasant walk. Spectacular scenery. You can do a circular walk or double walk and get a second look at the amazing scenery. Loved this village.
