Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary

If you are into Nature, and bird watching this is a good place for you. We just went there for a day and went back to Mactan Island in the afternoon so i'm not sure where you can stay at night. You can only reach Olango Isand by boats. I only know 2 main ports, Beside Movenpick Hotel and Marigondon Beach Port. I'm not updated with the fare but it's cheap. You will also be surprised how they transport motorbikes through boats. And sometimes, because there are only few boats operates, you have to wait for the boat to be fully loaded before it goes and that is the least of your worry,if you are timid, you have to do heaps of prayers while cruising , the boat is fully loaded that you would feel it will sink in any moment. But, i traveled a year ago, im not so sure about the progress they are making. This is just about my experience. So i suggest you go and find another source :D

San Vicente Marine Sanctuary

What a walk out ( 420m ) on the sometimes near flimsy bamboo & wooden plank boardwalk / jetty , to the observation deck at San Vicente Marine Sanctuary ... as I’m on the heavier size ???????? I could feel the bamboo squeak ???? The San Vicente Marine Sanctuary ... this marine park is located on Olango Island - which is the largest of small island off Mactan Island , off Cebu City ???????? As again ???? to get to Olango Island , you can catch a Filipino Pumpboat from Angasil Port , on the far side of Mactan island From the port you can catch a Tricycle P120 each way ( might have overpaid ) Entrance fees to San Vicente Marine Sanctuary • Boardwalk Sightseeing - P25 / person • Swimming - P75 / person • Snorkelling - P100 / person • Overnight camping ⛺️ includes boardwalk & swimming - P150 / person You can hire sightseeing Pumpboats ( around 4 hours ) that will take you to scenic local small islands & rocky outcrops ( will like to do next trip ???? ) During your interesting walk out ... when not watching where you put your next step ???????? you have water level scenic panoramic views of the surrounding area , as far as Mactan Island in the near distance ... near shore you have the environmental needed mangroves & further along the boardwalk , you can watch the smaller fish swimming over the sea grass ???????? just the walk out is an adventure in itself ????????

Very nice beach to go hangout and play in the water. Although I did see lots of trash floating around. But overall it was OK. I would go back
