This was the cherry on top of the cake! I was already so delighted with the whole city. But when on a lovely warm afternoon I decided to go to the Bovarie and was literally flabbergasted! The green areas along the river are just so enchanting. The Museum building is magnificent so is the cafe of the museum. The views are incredible. What an unforgettable afternoon.

Serres du Jardin botanique de Liege

Le Jardin Botanique de Liège et son complexe de serres, fondé en 1819, est le seul véritable jardin botanique de Wallonie. Patrimoine vivant historique et architectural liègeois. Le complexe des serres, classé, de style victorien est un exemple exceptionnel d'une architecture utilisant le fer et le verre au XIXe siècle. L'exotisme y est partout: orchidées, plantes succulentes, plantes carnivores, ... Plusieurs milliers de plantes du monde sont conservées sur plus de 1000m² et sous plusieurs climats. Nombre des ces végétaux descendent de plants introduits dans les serres dès le XIXe siècle.
