Good campsite despite very noisy neighbours campers

Reviewed By 559louannem

Lovely campsite, good amenity. Will have giving it 5 stars but unfortunately had a family of campers from the North who started setting up their tents late on Friday evening at around 10pm, and their kids were so loud especially two of the girls who must have been around 9 - 12. We had to ask the parents many time to keep it quiet but to no available. The mother was as loud as her kids, no respect for fellow campers.

Treat yourself to a stay in this beautifully restored home and garden. My daughter and I had a restful stay in this tranquil haven near Slane village. Our host, Eileen, was very kind and accommodating. The breakfast was superb. The garden is delightful. We look forward to going back.

Brief Overnighter

I stayed in one of the Shepherd's Huts with my 6 yo son. With it being early January it was really quiet and we barely saw anyone else, but that wasn't an issue. We were worried a bit about it being cold but the Hut was very cosy. The Shack was a bit cooler, but probably due to being such a big space and lack of people. It was clean, tidy and a great little adventure. Very good value too.

Great food - cheerful staff - comfy bed !

Reviewed By Almostgreynomad

Great rural pub - with fantastic food. Really, really tasty ! I stayed in the house next door, there are a few rooms, but I had a double room with ensuite bathroom. Really comfy bed and great shower ! Wifi was a bit slow - and only one bar of phone reception ... but neither are the fault of the pub - it's just the way it is in rural Ireland ! If you are going to get 'off the beaten track' don't expect city level utilities !! Cereal provided for breakfast. There was coffee - but might need to ask for a tea bag ? I couldn't find one ! They might have been there, I was really tired and not 'fully functioning' !!! You can use the kitchen in the house .. but the food is so good at the pub next door just treat yourself !

Comodo e semplice
