Room OK, food very good, got my car vandalized
Reviewed By _rnulfw2016We stayed there for two nights, just chilling. I recommend Broms cafe, just nearby, for lunch or 'fika' (coffee and cakes). But as my car got vandalized I realize that no place in Sweden is safe anymore. If you have a decent car, only use places with locked garage, or some other sort of safety to keep the riff-raff from your door (literally). As an old Sweden-fan (I am Norwegian) I find it sad to see where the country is heading.

Sommarvik, a private centre open all the year round, is situated on the sunny side of Lake Västra Silen (the Dalsland Canal system).Family campsite, six holiday villages. Group accommodation. Canoeing centre and fishing centre. Sommarvik offers good facilities for school trips, camps, conferences and kick-offs.

Reviewed By AstridM1179We had an excellent stay here at the Skogsfåglarna cabin. Great infinity pool with beautiful view on the lake. Easy to rent canoes, kayaks, SUP boards... Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend!

Reviewed By MarielleGOThis is a beautiful place to stay! The stugby’s are nice and cozy. Not very luxurious but clean and welcoming. The new owners are very nice and welcoming. The view and nature around it is amazing. Just be sure to have good tires and 4x4 if you visit in the snow season. Within 30 minutes you are at a ski slope, a langlauf course or a Viking center. And even closer you can bring your camera and shoot wild life. This is so worth the money!

Charming and Authentic
Reviewed By tedwalterExtremely charming place just off the highway. Stopped for a quick overnight stay and got the local music-quiz evening as well. Friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast is upstairs in "station-building" and set in very charming environment. "Rooms" are NOT very spacious - and are exactly as in an old-fashioned sleepercabin. (It IS an actual sleeper cabin). So if you are looking for spacious and comfortable accommodations.... move on. We were looking for this charming and really authentic experience... and got exactly what we were looking for. Price - experience ratio is sort of spot on. Would recommend... but go for 1st class. :-)
