Dasi is a really great place to visit. You can have a very different experience from the city. In Dasi, there is unique architecture which is from the Japanese occupation period and the Dasi old street is famous. Dasi also is one of the Taiwan top ten towns for sightseeing. The only disadvantage is always full of people in the weekend.This time I participated in an annually festival called "DaxiDaxi" in summer. It was really spectacular and worth it.

Daxi Old Streeet has some stunning old architecture from the Japanese colonial period (1895-1945). It's a narrow street, we could just fit out car down it. The food is the snack-style sreet food that once dominated Taiwan's towns ands cities. Try it, it's good, I've eaten a lot of street food and I'm still round to tell the tale. Daxi is best known for its connection to Taiwan's old president, Chiang Kai-shek, who had a holiday house overlooing the river. Chiang is a controversial figure these days, I hope the proposal to do away with his holiday house is abandoned, it's a very quaint old building, it would be sad to see it go..

Built in 1930, the Zhongping Road Story House is a Japanese-style semi-detached building with a rich historical ambiance. In the beginning, the house was built for Japanese living in Taiwan. After WWII, the new government allocated the house togovernment officials as a dormitory. It became the residence of the Department of Indigenous Affairs’ Section Manager Guo-ZhiWangand the Department of Education's officer Yun-QuanLiao.Four generations of the two families lived here for almost 60 years. With a total of 109 square meters, this house has a complete layout and functions that had been used for generations.Every corner of this house was filled with memories of the two families. These ordinary stories allow us to see the great times of old Zhongli and the wisdom of life from the elders., Zhongping Road Story House can navigate the bustling urban environment of today’s Zhongli while showing the stories from the past.

We are an ancient Chinese architecture originally from Anhui, China. It was built around 1610-1700, this building embody the building architectural style of the Ming Dynasty while surviving the purge during the Cultural Revolution of the of late 1960s.
