Upper Reach Winery

Upper Reach is a family owned and operated boutique winery, on the banks of Perth's Swan River. We'd love you to come for a wine tasting at our crisp, clean Cellar Door with huge views of the vineyard. You could be anywhere, but you're only 30 minutes drive from Perth! The only accommodation on a vineyard in the Swan Valley is the Upper Reach Spa Cottage, this historic two bedroom cottage has been fully restored for you to enjoy 'owing a vineyard' for the night- there is just one cottage so your privacy is assured! Our aim at Upper Reach is to produce wine of the highest quality from estate grown fruit, each wine reflecting both the vineyard and the particular vintage.Upper Reach is one of the top Swan Valley wine producers, with an extensive list of wine show awards. We believe that wine is one of life's essentials along with good food, family and friends. Come in for wine tasting in a relaxed, inviting setting every day of the week, 11am until 5pm.

We love to come to Dale's Gallery, The beautiful art, paintings and so much more. Dale always has some time for a yarn. We got several paintings now and have the eye on a unique painting from R. Hart. It is a great place to get an understanding of the importance of an artistic medium for aboriginal people (and all others). You can see so much history, pain, happiness, beauty and more in it. We cannot wait to come again. Thank You for providing a place like yours.

Windy Creek Estate

Windy Creek Estate, formally Cobanov Wines, was first established in 1937 by Ante Cobanov. He had left Croatia in 1924 and spent 13 years cutting sleepers in the south-west to enable him to put a deposit on this Swan Valley property. In 1937 he bought the fertile coastal plain land that is still the core of the family business and sent for his wife and sons. They grew grapes for dried fruit production but made a small amountof wine for the Perth immigrant community. The family has continued to produce wines for 80 years and we have been selling fruit to other wineries for approximately 40 years. The Windy Creek Estate label was first released in 1980. Tony Cobanov, the current winemaker, entered the industry as a third generation winemaker and is very passionate about the Swan Valley and its lifestyle. He has 3 sons Joshua, Callum and Rohan so it is a distinct possibility that this will become a 4th generation business and he can’t think of anything better than that.

Small independent winery we visited as part of an organised wine tour. A vey good selection of wines to taste including Vedelho, Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin in the white corner and Grenache, Cabernet Merlot and Shiraz in the red corner. The winery also produces fortified wines. Friendly unhurried wine tasting. Note the wines are only available at the winery but all seemed to be very good value.

Faber Vineyard

Faber Vineyard is a family run winery located in the picturesque Swan Valley. We craft some of the Swan Valleys best wines, and our cellar door studio, overlooking our magnificent vineyard, is a fantastic place to enjoy them.

Reviewed By Z6108TQpaulr - Perth, Australia

Faber Vineyard produces outstanding wine and a refreshing change from the expensive but superb wines of Margaret River. John Griffiths and his partner run a terrific small operation that so completely captures the varietal expression of different grape varieties. John's experience as a senior winemaker for Houghton, Lindemans plus others and his knowledge and passion for producing top notch drops year on year is exemplary. He is a Master of getting the best out of the produce he sources and grows himself and turning it into something quite magical. His 2017 Reserve Shiraz is stellar and puts others at 3 times the price in the shade! Being so close to Perth is also a real bonus. I strongly recommend you book ahead for a charcuterie platter and go through the tasting menu with a sidebar chat with John. You will not be disappointed.
