When we arrived at Vino Spaleta, Renata greeted us and we enjoyed her presentation and video detailing the history of the vineyard. The tasting menu was excellent and paired beautifully with the wines. All the wines were excellent and the reds were some of the best we have ever tasted. Ivo joined us and we had a great time. By the time we left, we felt as if we were old friends. We bought bottles of the white, rose and red. After I raved about her fig jam, Renata gifted me with a jar of delicious preserves. This winery is not typical of the large tasting rooms, it is a small family vineyard. The tasting is more like a visit to a friend's home. It is worth your time to go to Kuna and taste their excellent wines!

Ston Old Town

The bus service to Ston is not brilliant, we visited in May when the return bus leaves at 7pm. Even in a very attractive, charming little town it can be difficult to keep amused that long. We visited the very interesting museum which has a very pleasant and friendly curator, and walked past the salt pans to a little hamlet with a closed winery and a very good restaurant. We did not venture onto the walls, the steps of Dubrovnik are enough of a challenge but the photo used above suggests that maybe we should have tested our knees even more.

Trstenica Beach

Reviewed By laaserg - Trier, Germany

very large beach, really long. The water is clean and you can rent jet skis and boats very easily. We sympathized with the owners of the jet ski rental club and obtained discounts on the rates thanks to Voila.hr where we rented a whole house. A truly amazing holiday where Croatian hospitality takes on a whole new meaning. Bravo!
