Surprise stop during bike ride
Reviewed By ajosborne69An unexpected stop during a cycle tour of Mandallaz. Lovely warm welcome from Sabine. The idea was a quick coffee stop to admire the view, ended up eating lunch. Two salads, enjoyed! Great that establishment open on a Monday lunchtime. Will return.

excellent time despite the bad weather
Reviewed By valib22we had an excellent time with our 4 years old daughter at Valerie's place. We really enjoyed the table d hotes together with other very nice guests. We shared food with almost unknown people and at the end of the dinner we were friends. This is also what happened at the breakfast the day after. Our daughter had the time of her life playing with other kids and with the animals (rabbits, dogs, donkey, sheep, horses, ducks and poultries. The food was excellent and the room so well decorated our daughter didn't want to leave. the place is also very close to the Cluny abbey which we visitedL.

La Ferme du Lac Vert was built in 1842 - has been restored & is now a luxury boutique ski chalet. The interior is a mix of antique & contemporary with a stone staircase & fireplace designed by a local artist - it has to be seen to be appreciated. There is a double height glass atrium on the first floor, giving expansive views of the neighboring mountain range.

Our large 18th century farmhouse is set on high ground in its own 50 hectares allowing full panoramic views and spectacular surrounding scenery. Close by are the famous natural arch the "Pont d'Arc" and the recently discovered Grotte Chauvet. It is ideal for organising large seminars. You will have at your disposal a large kitchen equipped for groups of up to 45 people. You can also enjoy the domaine's authenticity and peace as a couple or family as our hosting capacity is flexible.
A wonderful week in the Ardèche
Reviewed By CorbsMasterIn late June/ early July, we spent a wonderful week in the Ardèche staying in the Olivier apartment at Domaine de L'Astic. We had a lovely warm welcome and a nice surprise in the room when we arrived. The rooms inside were spacious, clean and had everything you need. The room we had was just a few seconds walk to a stunning swimming pool with panoramic views over vast areas of unspoilt, forested hills. The pool was very well made with a proper deep end and a shallower side pool and it was bliss to float around in the sun amongst the lovely trees. The whole property has lots of different nooks and crannies which are great to explore, especially with young kids. There is an ancient walled garden, numerous small-holding animals and several playing areas (ball games/ boules). We received great advice about where to visit -Barjac village is a little gem and a 32 km paddle in kayaks down the pristine, limestone gorge of the Ardèche river is unforgettable. In short, this is the perfect place to come and stay in the Ardèche if you want to stay in a stunning, authentic and friendly place that gives easy (car) access to the best the Ardèche has to offer. Thank you to Colette and Janick, we will be back!

La Desmeuniere is a beautifully renovated 18th century farmhouse with traditional features and full of character. The high ceilings and specious lounge with log fire makes the perfect ambiance of a classic alpine ski chalet. The chalet’s eight en suite bedrooms can sleep 16 to 22 people. There is a sauna and a sunken outdoor hot tub which is the perfect place to soak away the aches and pains after a day skiing/boarding with a glass of bubbly. The open plan kitchen allows you to take a sneek peak at what the chef is preparing for your four-course dinner. With flat screen TV, DVD player, Apple TV with Netflix and Nintendo the Mezzanine is the perfect place for the kids. They will have more than enough to do so you can sit by the fire place and listen to music or read a book and enjoy your glass of wine.

Wonderful hosts serving some top class food made it a perfect base for week on the snow. Was really nice to stay somewhere special like this for a surprise big birthday celebration.
