We were staying Latrobe for the night and happened to notice two large toy soldiers standing at the entrance of the building. So we as a family went in - woooow talk about a surprise the interior is packed from roof to floor with every type of gift and gadget you could want for. With areas themed - Dr Who, Spooky, Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter etc etc - a fantastic 60 minutes of total well spent time - the cakes and coffee were also very good. Have a look - its worthwhile!!!!!!!

We had visitors from Japan ???????? who came specifically to see the Duckbill Platypus and I must say they were not disappointed. They visited the forest at dawn on several occasions and were extremely happy to report that they had spotted several Platypus ducking and diving in the Mersey River

House of Anvers Museum of Chocolate

Reviewed By charlottealora23 - Leura, Australia

This is the best chocolate shop ever! We ordered the chocolate waffles were amazing and very warm and fresh. They came promptly and were one of the best meals I've ever had- a must eat! I loved the area out the back where you can watch chocolate being made - it was a great experience and something I had never seen before. The moulds were very interesting, as was the information about the history of chocolate. After we had our afternoon tea we visited the chocolate shop which was amazing - so many options of things to buy. We bought an Anvers Chocolate Factory apron and some truffles, great value for money and the truffles were absolutely delicious. A must-see place - unlike any other chocolate factory in the world!
