This lake is less famous, but has nothing to envy the well-known Braies lake. The Dobbiaco lake has a wonderful clear water and there's an easy (flat) circular walk around the lake that will take you through the forest, the river and some beautiful small beaches. You will appreciate the amazing diversity of its flora and fauna (birds!). On the lake you will also find a bar, a restaurant and a camping.

I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area: it will only take you a few minutes but it will touch your heart and provide you with a deeper understanding of the history of this region. It is small and beautifully curated.
