We had a great tour of the museum by a fantastic guide - we even took some cameroonian friends and we all learned a great deal, this is a must visit attraction for any visitors to Yaounde.

Benedictine Museum of Mont-Febe

Abbias, intricate carvings on a dried fruit shell, are the pride of this small but fascinating museum.

Blackitude Museum

Reviewed By kelledstyle - Montreal, Canada

Various forms of art are represented such as masks, royal objects, architectural elements, ritual and ceremonial sculptures, potteries, and much more. This tiny museum is a real hidden gem however it is not well labeled and without guidance or prior knowledge, it would be hard to appreciate at their real value all the pieces featured. We had a private tour to some of the more interesting items, and stories about their ethnographic heritage. The majority of the items are originated from the grasslands of Cameroon. Moreover, there are also pieces from Congo, Nigeria and Gabon. It was a wonderful cultural experience in every way. Check out my Instagram (IG: kelledstyle) for more pictures :-)
