We booked a trip for a Montgolfière trip over Chenonceau and the Cher. GETYOURGIDE mentions that the maximum of participants is 10 persons for each ride. Upon arrival to our surprise we were 14... our surprise grew when hearing that we had to embark in two Jeeps to go to the departure ( 7+the driver per car ! = packed one against another ) When mentioning that this didn’t respect current measures for Covid, we got the answer that also in the gondola we would be stuffed one against another as well. And that therefor we had to wear a mask as desinfect our hands. Unsure if the montgolfière had been desinfected ( we could’nt see anyone doing this, the cars weren’t in any case . When telling that GETYOURGUIDE mentioned that the trips were limited to 10 participants, Mister France Montgolfière told us not without arrogance that the could write what they wanted but that it was not the problem of France Montgolfière ...When asking if we could take our own car for transfert ; that was impossible. Common sense would limit the number to 8 participants and foresee a transfer in mini-bus. We have been following strict hygienic rules by keeping distance at all times : the lack from the side of France Montgolfières is unacceptable and we didn’t want to participate under these circumstances. We asked full refund from Getyourguide... and we are fully entitled to get one.

The Basilica of Vézelay was built in close relation to the course of the sun. It is inhabited by light. His dance with stones, unique in the world, culminates in summer and winter solstices. We take you these days to the Basilica to live an unforgettable experience. Finally at the Visitor's House, around the models, the guide will explain the know-how of the craftsmen and the symbolism of the play of light desired by the builders.

The Maison du Visiteur is a jewel in the heart of Vézelay. Their guided visits, films and presentations are exceptionally good. They truly enable visitors to experience, see and understand for themselves the light and sacredness that make Vézelay and its basilica so very special. The fantastic thing is that their tours are designed for everyone, whether or not you belong to any religion yourself. I walked past the Maison du Visiteur for years without realising what treasures are to be found within, and now that I have finally gone in I am recommending it to everyone.

This hassle-free tour with private transportation ended up being a Godsend with the transportation strike and train schedules to Versailles being seriously "iffy." Who knows if we'd even made it there without Gustavo picking us up in his comfortable van? Once there, skipping the enormous line also proved worth the extra penny as Paris and sites like Versailles are growing in tourist numbers. Gustavo was interesting, polite and willing to answer all questions related to history, French culture and attitudes. He even set up a private tour of the apartments per our request. It's a long day, but Gustavo didn't overwhelm us with information overload and by the end of the tour, we felt we had made a new friend.

We are travelling from Australia and have previously visited other countries prior to to France which had amazing service and friendlyness. However 5minutes in France we found them to be rude 10minutes in and they were pushing us, 30minutes and pickpocketed. My advice when you get off the train is get back on and try a different country. Try Ireland, England or even Amsterdam. We are counting down the minutes to get out of this thieving, smelly, rude, dirty country Cheers

We were supposed to have a tour to Beaune, and because we were 3 we got huge chances to got it cancelled. But, they offered us instead an excursion to côte de nuits... it was better than expected! Emmanuel was a super guide! He explained us everything about the wine making process, took us to 2 places for wine tasting and to the vineyards... I just know how to better enjoy wine thanks to him. This excursion made our experience at Dijon unforgettable even in Corona times! Def if I come back I will go for another excursion with them :)
