This was our second trip here, the first time they were still remodeling so we were unable to take the tour. The tour was the very informative and interesting. We enjoyed our time there along with the samples in gift shop. If you're in the area and enjoy good beer this stop is a must.

We decided to get away for the day and was looking for something away from the Houston area. A google search turned up San Ducerro Vineyards which advertised $2 hamburger cookout. We stopped by and weren't disappointed. The owners have a great flair for hospitality. We did a wine tasting and settled on the Sangiovese. They also have regular weekend bring-your-own-steak barbeques as well as lots of board games for kids and adults alike. We'll go going back!

We live in the next town over and have been locals fans of this store since it's opening several years ago. Ice cream, truffles, penny candy, old favorites and new finds. Plus made on site fudge, brittle and divinity. Stuffed animals, books, gifts. Seasonal items. VERY reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Family owned and operated. Tables are available to sit and enjoy your treats in store or you can bag up a bunch to take home. I can't say enough good things about this store!

The building is a lot bigger than you expect. The tour guide. I can't remember his name , but he has been there 22 years is wonderful. The tour takes about an hour and well worth it. The artifacts they have are amazing. Dating back to be before Shiner was even there. There's also a jail, a house, a barn full of tools and tractors and such. The a general store that's awesome. Well worth your time............and its free, they take donations to help keep it running,

Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church

Reviewed By mamahahn98 - Abilene, Texas

Sts. Cyril and Methodius is one of the painted church of Texas, with extensive ceiling and wall painting and murals. They keep the door unlocked (I'm not sure of the hours), so I was able to walk in freely. The lights weren't on but there was enough light from the windows to give me a very good view. This church was founded by Czech immigrants and built I think around 1912. The elaborate altar-piece is gorgeous, as is the beautiful mural in the dome above the altar showing the baptism of Jesus. This is the biggest of the painted churches that I have visited. If you have a few minutes in Shiner and want to be amazed, drop by!
