Well worth the nominal fee to take the gondola up. Bring a picnic and a book, or hiking shoes and refreshments. There is a restaurant at the top with the great area for families. As a solo visitor, wonderful hiking trails well marked (fine for English speakers) the views were breathtaking! Absolutely a worthwhile visit in the summer.

Roy Emerson Tennis Camp

Reviewed By Sagittarius_7 - London, United Kingdom

The Roy Emerson tennis week at Gstaad Palace was fantastic. If you are looking for a tennis camp that gets everything just right then this is the one. There were sixteen guests when I attended and six very good coaches although the number of guests will vary throughout the summer. Roy is always in attendance at sessions and runs the week personally. The programme was a good balance between playing and rest time with five hours play on most days. The standard of coaching was very high with genuine interest shown by the pros. In addition there are some group dinners and a picnic for those who wish to join them. I travelled solo and met some very interesting people who all love the game.
The Gstaad Palace hotel is a wonderful setting - it is no surprise that people return year after year, I certainly will and recommend it very highly.

Sportzentrum Gstaad AG

Gstaad as the place says “come up & slow down” is a charming town. If you have kids along then you can’t slow down for a long so you must visit the sportzentrum and try ice skating. Even if you don’t know how to skate on ice you can give a try using chair for support. Skating shoes and chair is provided at the counter....must say the store manager was very helpful.
