Christmas Train at Dry Gulch

Reviewed By BJR2000 - Tulsa, Oklahoma

The location and atmosphere here are great. The train ride is good, although it will be cramped in an effort to accommodate as many riders as quickly as possible. There are plenty of places to eat and snack and all are affordable. The buildings and old west town atmosphere are amazing.

To address a previous comment regarding being treated second class, I can't attest that I ever saw that happen this year. However there is a handicapped accessible entry for the train (unsure of other rides) that allows them to wait in a shorter line. I'm sure that they're also allowed to have their family and friends in line with them so they can experience it together. It wouldn't surprise me though if people took advantage of that as the staff certainly aren't going to question someone on whether they are actually handicapped or not.

If you've never been to this you must make an effort to buy tickets and attend. It's amazing. The tickets are hard to come by though and they sell out very fast so you'll have to do a little research and possibly stay up late in order to get them.

Totem Pole Park

It's a small and peaceful park in Foyil with more concrete art than just the totem pole, though that alone is impressive enough to visit. There are no fees, and is free for all to visit.

We enjoyed seeing the world's largest totem pole. We also enjoyed going in the gift shop and seeing all the fiddles on display! This is a nice area and the lady in the gift shop was exceptionally nice!

Stopped here as we were visiting family near the area. It is a wonderful place. Very unique wines to try. Pleasant and friendly staff. The road is a little rough so go slow. Nice time and peaceful location. The building is beautiful. Try the Strawberry! Delicious!!

Saw some great bands and had a great weekend. We drove back home each night as we live relatively close. Lost Saturday night due to rain, but hey it's an outside venue. Really like the new wrist band system and thought security did a good job moving people through. Really wish they had running water and real restrooms. Also wish they would mix a few more of the 80's bands back in. We will be back rocking with 30,000 people again next summer.

We heard about Fat Toad and decided to visit after work. It's located on 69a south of Pryor. Chris and David and the spouses run this place and also work full time. Great folks. I tried Bob's IPA and Downshifter-pale ale. Both were excellent. The guys tried some other types and they said they too were excellent. No food offered but food trucks are there sometimes. Their Facebook page posts that information. Excellent craft beer done right. I see these guys going places. Well worth a try if you enjoy excellent beers.
