We had a lovely on the boat to Krk. We had snacks and soft drinks in the morning on the boat. Then lunch in a lovely little restaurant on the island (included). We had a lovely walk round Krk then off to Beli where we had a lovely swim. Ideal for scuba diving. We then went back to the boat for lovely fruits and soft drinks. The crew were lovely playing the accordion and singing. Beautiful scenery most of the way. The only downside was we found the trip in the boat a bit long. Its 2 hrs each way fro Opatjia. The tour starts at 8.30am till 6.30pm. Great Value at 299 KN

I had a lovely cycle ride round this area, followed by a dip in the sea. The area is set up for those who want to walk/cycle/swim, without being overwhelmed by crowds of tourists.

Krk Bridge or Krčki most is very nice concrete bridge with two vaults. Distance from the coast to the island is 1430 m. It was built - finished in 1980. Nice structure can be seen from distance. You can't stop to take pictures. When you travel from Rijeka, you need to pay 35 kuna (some 5 €). When you travel back, it is free.

Our Lady of the Assumption - Omisalj

Reviewed By Cristian C - Ferrara, Italy

Voscica Lighthouse

This lighthouse from 1875 is located on the cape Voscica on the northern end of the Krk island. It has small squared stone tower and the building with ground floor and attic. The water supply comes from its own well. The lighthouse also has a water heating system via solar power. It is automated and monitored by remote control system.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO VISIT!!
The road to Vos ends at a vast quarry. The lighthouse is located on the far side of the quarry. Watchmen on both roads heading towards the lighthouse turned us back. Accessible by motorboat (yachtsmen do not sail the straits because the winds are so ferocious).
