Huntsville-Madison County Public Library

Everything was modern and the library offered many alternatives. They have special events, musical events, speakers and authors, art displays, historical research area and genealogy department in addition to a huge book collection. There were hundreds of DVDs and a large children's area with programs for the little ones. I took advantage of the computer center training in Word and Excel and it was excellent. The librarians were very professional and helpful any time I required assistance. I am glad we have such a great facility in our city as this library, or should I say multi-purpose library!

Moberly Rothwell Park

Rothwell Park is truly the magic in the Magic City. Growing up here, I always cherished this park. I set out in solo adventures and am sure, throughout the years, explored every inch. Over the years, the Park dept has kept up and improved this beautiful park. From walking trails, camp grounds, the lake, kids playground to the aquatic center...there is so much to enjoy! You can even rent a paddle boat for a nominal fee. I look forward to trips to the park when I visit.

The Magic City Line, Moberly Mini-Train

Reviewed By Linda T - Stockholm, Sweden

This small train is a volunteer project by the Moberly Friends of the park. The trains, rails, and gardens were built by volunteers often working with donated and shared materials. Moberly was a historic rail road hub and has an active group of train enthusiasts. The mini-train only operates on Sundays 1-4 pm, but one can visit the site during any hours the park is open.

Memory Lanes

The bowling alley had been closed for a while in town and then it reopened as memory lanes. It is the first time I have been in since they opened under new management and I have to admit that I was pretty impressed at the amount of updating they have done. It is a nice place to bring your family for a good time.
