The 5 Best Things to Do in Hoi An, Vietnam

September 2, 2017 Randal Brittian

This city on the central Vietnamese coast is a well-preserved example of the important Southeast Asian trading port it was from the 15th-19th centuries. Already a common stop for backpackers, it is becoming better known to tourists. On the 14th day of each lunar month, the town trades its electric lights for traditional colored lanterns. Sights include the Japanese Covered Bridge and the Quan Cong Temple. Let the town’s expert tailors make you some bespoke clothing.

Hon was a charming and skilled tour guide/chef on this excellent half day tour. Struck the right balance between helping and letting us do it ourselves, for our group of family and friends across different age groups. It was a well tried and tested format and a good venue - A big shout out to Hon, who did a great job making us feel welcome and keeping everyone entertained. Recommended.

This was my first experience having clothing made. It went very well. We were recommended to MiTa by a friend and we are very glad we decided to go. The workers are professional, kind, great with English, patient and helpful. They finish when it is perfect and you are happy. I even had 3 fittings, just to make sure it was perfect. I am now obsessed with my new clothing made by them. They are able to use diverse materials and patterns to be sure you get exactly what you envision. This is an amazing place and you must experience getting clothes made by them in Hoi an.
