Skunkie Acres Animal Rescue is a no-kill, volunteer-based rescue located on a beautiful 40 acre park in Citra, FL. We are focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place. With the help of our volunteers, we organize fundraisers, community-building events and so much more You can see, pet, feed, and interact with animals from all corners of the globe as they roam freely across 40 acres of natural habitat. When you visit our park, you'll get up close with our animals before finishing with a relaxing bite in our picnic area.

This rescue center is exceptional. The animals are treated well and have room to roam. It is under shade trees so both the animals and the visitors get some relief from the hot Florida sun. Ringling retired a tiger here so you know it is well kept. Sue led us on an educational, thoughtful and entertaining tour through this exotic animal rescue sanctuary and made us think about the disappearance of the natural environments of these animals, especially tigers who number only 3000 in the wild now and are in danger of extinction. Please visit and watch these magnificent animals and then donate your money or time or both to help make this rescue place, retirement home a continuing success. Look for EARS in Citra, Fl. on SR 318 before you go as they only have tours on two weekdays at this time.

Long time business in the small town of Citra. A favorite place to stop for orange / grapefruits and always pick up a fresh OJ. They have many other products as well.
