Birjand Castle is the largest and oldest historical monument in Birjand. It is located on top of the highest western point of hills of Birjand. Birjand Castle is a must if you are in birjand. You can climb to the highest point and walk on top of the walls. Birjand Castle have a magnificent view of the city. I highly recommend going there at the sunset to enjoy the view more. Also in the main court you can shop from the stores or order from the restaurant. There are rooms where you can sit and enjoy a drink. Birjand Castle can be very crowded on holidays. There are some places you might bump your head so you should be careful. The access street is very narrow and steep and should be improved.
