Probably the best place in Batam to visit. You can spend an hour there. A good clean vegetarian restaurant is convenient.

Mega Mall Batam Centre

We visit Mega Mall at Thursday night for dinner in one of the restaurant.
Located in Batam Center, connected to port, this place said to be quite crowded on weekends, catering for tourists that used Batam Center port. The one and only Starbucks outlet, was here.

This is an amazing Mosque true to the name "Grand". Those Muslim visitors & tourists love to come here not only for Friday prayers but also other days. A place of worship is loved by all humans, fro God is present in every place of worship.

Batam Centre Ferry Terminal

Reviewed By ambxdextrous - Singapore, Singapore

Only sharing this review based on my experience shuttling through Ferries during an off-peak period. There are a small array of shops located before the immigration side of the terminal, but if you want more choices, it is advisable for you to take the overhead bridge over to the other side where the Megamall presides. Immigration was smooth to and fro due to adequate amount of customs officials marshalling ferry passengers to and fro.

KDA Indoor Tennis

Reviewed By Edmund K - Singapore, Singapore

Unless I recalled wrongly, this is the only indoor tennis facility on Batam. I came by Jenderam Sudirman in Batam Center out of curiosity. What put me off was the huge iron gate and the overall look of a court covered by metal roofing and surrounded by chain link fence. I have seen better indoor courts. You do not need to come here for a game because a couple of Batam hotels have outdoor courts; albeit no fun on a hot afternoon. Still, playing outdoor tennis in the evening in a lighted court or at dusk should be fine. After a game in the hotel, one could have a sip of fruit juice or beer before proceeding straight to our room. But not at this facility. It is a distance away from many of the 4-5 stars hotels. If you are at waterfront batam or at nongsa, you wouldn't want to come here. I just had a quick look before exiting. This is very much for the local residents.
