Behind the impressive facade of Bellenis lie many interesting stories: war history, Lerian traditions, medical equipment from the 19th and 20th centuries, art made by the political prisoners held in Leros during the dictatorship 1967-1974 .The building from the 1920's itself is interesting enough.

We went to his beach every day, the sun beds are free if you buy a drink from th taverna overlooking the beach, this taverna and staff are amazing, the water is crystal clear and the views out of this world

All the beach bars on the sand here and lovely, and the water is very calm, and it never gets too windy (as some other parts of the island do).
