We passed this place many times on our way to Burlington. We finally took the time to check it out. This place is beyond amazing. Even if you are typically not into museums, this place has something for everyone. It's like 50 museums in one place. It's like exploring the back lot of a movie studio, only everything here is real. You will see art, sculptures, barns, trains, dolls, toys, hats, gardens, a covered bridge, church, school, ferry, lighthouse, merry-go-round, circus memorabilia and so much more. I could have spent all day in the doll exhibit. So creepy and awesome. Plan to spend hours here, if not a whole day. As a photographer, I was in absolute heaven.

Visited the farms based on the reviews everywhere on the internet and wasn’t disappointed ! The property is huge and offers miles of trails where you can either interact with animals , watch maple trees tapped or marvel at the beautiful inn and the barn . I must say I think the farm offers the best view of the lake . Be prepared to spend at least three hours when visiting to truly enjoy the views offered by the farm .

Shelburne Orchards

Reviewed By 414stevenv - Shelburne, United States

Nick is super cool, laid back and knowledgeable! The man epitomizes Vermont! I ran a 5k race there a few years ago and it was tough, up and down uneven ground followed by an annoying hill at the very end, and it was lightly raining; keep in mind this was in October and was not warm by any means. After the race I went and got my warm clothes and came back under a roof where Nick had built a hearth and had pizza going! Score! While I was standing there I kept smelling this wonderful combination of ginger and apple cider, he took me in where it was bring made and explained the entire process and topped it of with a very nice size sample, wow. You have to try Ginger Jack and you can find it at the orchard or most natural food stores and small local owned stores. We go apple picking almost every year and if you are into m aking your own cider wait until the end of the season and you can fill as much as your vehicle can hold for a nominal price. The views are beautiful and they have a small store that's a must stop into.By far my favorite orchard and I have had the privilege or visiting many orchards due to my job at a local natural food market where I worked in produce. We toured many, and got paid to eat apples, and Nick's is my favorite, I also now live a stones throw away! Lengthy review? Absolutely and well deserved in fact not long enough. Did I mention Shelburne Orchards is my favorite of all I've ever been to?

Shelburne Country Store is a wonderful shopping experience with creative and extensive inventory from gift items to their famous in-house made fudge and incredible maple creamies . I am a regular customer but during the coronavirus pandemic, I was able to order a gift box for my daughter for Mother's Day. It arrived quickly and beautifully wrapped. They also delivered an order to my door step for free since I live locally. This store is a true gem and an experience not to be missed once things open up again. For now, stay home and stay safe but feel free to order on-line.
