Montelle Winery

This is the best winery in the Augusta area. We have visited almost every year since 2003. Great wine, excellent service and beautiful view from their deck. We brought a friend and his wife, who enjoyed their visit. We purchased several cases of their great wine, which gave us some time to enjoy the sights while they prepared our order. The manager and all employees we dealt with were helpful and courteous. Highly recommend a stop at this winery as they have great wine to taste and purchase, plus enjoy the view.

First of all, we had been to 7 wineries before we stopped at Noboleis. Some had better wines than others. Some had more friendly staff than others. But it all came together for us at Noboleis. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, engaging. We met and chatted with other patrons that were also traveling in an RV. We felt like we were amongst friends we hadn't seen in awhile. Mike was a welcoming host and I could see him being a close friend if we lived in the area. He really elevated the tasting experience for us and made it highly memorable. As far as the wine... I liked the wine flight concept. It allowed us time to dawdle over each wine and compare our thoughts without a server hovering over us. We didn't feel the least bit rushed and could relax, enjoy the view, and sip the wine. We opted for the estate wine flight because our preference is always for wines grown by the winery. The dry traminette might be the best I've ever had. Crisp, fruity, refreshing. Chambourcin is one I can go either way on.... I'd drink a glass of theirs if offered, but I wouldn't necessarily buy a bottle to take home. The Norton (which I don't usually care for) was very good and one of the best Nortons I'd tasted all day. The trophy though, went to the Vignoles. Excellent. Don't miss the opportunity to try it. I'd love to come back sometime when they have live music and the trees are green. The venue looks perfect to enjoy a beautiful setting with a refreshing glass of wine.
