FeuerWerk

I was staying in Mayrhofen and decided to visit FeuerWerk on a snowy day. I had passed it on the train a few times and thought it was a saw mill, but my visit explained more than I expected. I just missed the 11:00 tour so popped up to the 3rd floor for a coffee. Great views of the valley and mountains. There is a short movie about "The World of Wood" and then the tour began. I was the only one on the 13:00 tour. There is a good audio guide. Mine was in English. There are quite a few steps to climb but it is well worth it. The bio-fuel process is fully explained. I finished with a meal on the 3rd floor. Well worth a visit.

Erlebnistherme Zillertal

We came here the last week of August 2019 so this review is long overdue. The place is beautiful, really clean and well laid out. It's perfect for families. We came on a hot day and were lucky that it wasn't too busy as we easily spent most of the day here. Inside you have several swimming pools including a baby pool, and outside a large pool and then play areas for children, including a bouncy castle. Plenty of areas to rest, you could use the loungers or just put a blanket on the grass. There was an option to buy tickets for inside only or a combination ticket for inside and outside. We had the tickets to access both inside and outside, but saw several people struggling to use the outside area (accessible through a revolving door) as they clearly didn't have the right type of ticket. So my advice would be to be clear with reception what kind of ticket you're getting. There was a possibility to rent towels for a small fee which we really appreciated. Overall a great experience in a beautiful setting, highly recommended.
