My daughter and I traveled to Chicago for a weekend before Christmas. When we walked into the spa, I was struck by the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings and the calming fragrances. My cell phone battery had just died, and the staff charged my phone for me during our visit. We started off our visit with the infrared sauna followed by the private shower. What a way to shake off the cold and start a day of relaxation! The warmth reminded me of the heat of Arizona, which I love, and the fragrances of the products in the bathroom are so pleasant. We then had a hot stone massage. My massage therapist was knowledgeable, concentrated on my problem areas, and talked enough not to be awkward but not enough to be disruptive to my relaxation. She was fantastic! We then dressed and waited in the lovely "tent" waiting area and were taken to the nail salon. My pedicure was just fine. However, my daughter's nail technician was a bit overzealous in treating ingrown toenails, and my daughter developed 2 sore big toes the following day and infection in one of them -- nothing serious and nothing that a bit of peroxide didn't fix. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic, and we would likely substitute a facial for the pedicure the next time. This spa far surpassed our expectations!
