This is really worth visiting as Minsk and Belarus is a low lands country like the Netherlands, so when you can get an opportunity for an aerial view take it! The lift takes you up and then there is a good wide modern 360 degrees observation deck which gives you a fine view over the city and also the wider countryside to some extent (forests and rivers) as they say - on a clear day you can see forever. There is also an excellent gallery area in the Library which was open on the Sunday even though the Library itself was closed. This had a contemporary exhibition of Belarusian art which was fascinating. The whole time was well spent and enjoyed.
