Tangerang (Sundanese: ᮒᮍᮨᮛᮀ, Chinese: 丹格朗) is a city in the province of Banten, Indonesia. It is about 25 kilometres (16 miles) west of Jakarta. It is on the island of Java. The city is the third largest urban centre in the Greater Jakarta region after Jakarta and Bekasi; the sixth largest city in the nation; and the largest city in Banten province. It has an area of 164.54 square kilometres (63.53 square miles) and an official 2010 Census population of 1,797,715, increasing to 2,001,925 as at 2014 — making it the eighth most populated suburb in the world at the latter date.

An excellent course, I rank this the best of the 5 courses I’ve played in Jakarta (Damai Indah BSD, Damai indah PIK, Cengkarang, Pondok Indah, Senayan). It has very wide fairways and plays very long, as u don’t get much run on the fairways in the wet season, ( like only 20cm after a booming drive). Many second shots after good drives on par 4s are long irons, especially into the breeze. You often need more club than you think, the huge vistas and greens often make the holes look shorter and closer than they are. A bit better than all the others above because it has so much variety. Lots of water, with many high tees, especially on the back nine which give awesome vistas, with Jack Nicklaus style mega bunkers often all the way down one side of the fairway. It’s long and very wide but there is often a better side to be on the fairway to approach the green. Awesome design and stylish layout with massive fairways and greens, and several huge lakes. Bring your long game. Rated a high 139 from blue, and I reckon water on about 10 holes. Immaculate when I was there. I liked holes 2, 7, 10, 11, 16, 18 especially. Better than many.
