We went diving with Scuba Doctor guide Sam for two days to search for sea dragons and other critters. We went one day to Flinders Pier and one day to the Blairgowrie and Rye Piers. We are still surprised with how amazing the diving was. We expected cool sea dragons but we saw so much more! Seahorses, cuttlefish, squid, giant stingrays and the list goes on. Sam was a great guide who was determined to show us the best that Rye (and surroundings) had to offer. We could not have been happier with his service. We also rented BCDs, equipment was in good state and looked quite new. Beware, they don't rent out fins so you have to bring those yourself. We had a great time!

Rye Beach

Clean, clear water and a safe depth for children. We swam morning, lunchtime and evening and the water was lovely. It is very shallow until you go a long way out. The sand is fine and clean with lots of shells.

Rye Pier

Lovely walk and beautiful place to take photos of the sunset. Some boards are uneven so take care with little or older people. Lots of people fishing on the night we went and they were entertaining. Water is clear and highly recommend a walk down to the end.

Rye Ocean Beach

Reviewed By Swisshen - Melbourne, Australia

This beautiful beach is a delight, with the crystal clear shallow waters, which go out quite a long way, so are perfect if you want to have a paddle. There is an outside shower by the toilet block. The toilets are basic but clean and well stocked with toilet paper and there are picnic benches her if you don't was sandy sandwiches.
