Gardens at Gantz Farm

My son and grandson live in Grove City and when I am there we frequently go to Gantz Park. One of the very nice features in the Park is the well planned, well kept garden. We enjoy watching it change with the season. Plants are well labeled and if you happen to be there when one of the well-informed gardeners are, they are a wealth of information. It’s a gem, within a gem of a local park.

There are many great walk paths, a canoe put in, and shelters for get togethers. Wear your walking shoes and enjoy the pathways. Binoculars may be a good idea too, there are many bird watching locations here.

Plum Run Winery

Boutique urban winery in the Heart of Grove City, Ohio, featuring red, white, fruit wines, plus ciders and mead too. With a full kitchen onsite and brewery upfront, we have many options for all.

This was our first visit to this winery. We prefer sweet wines and fruit wines and they had a nice assortment. The set up for a tasting is very nice. We also ordered a cheese/meat platter - about half of the selections were too spicy for my preferences. Dave the winemaker stopped by - he could tell we were new from the tasting set up. We had a wonderful discussion about the various wines. He was a very interesting and pleasant person to talk with and made the visit special. We bought a few bottles to bring home and will definitely be going back.
