The 5 Best Concerts & Shows in La Dreta de l'Eixample, Catalonia

November 19, 2021 Dorsey Hagwood

Barcelona feels a bit surreal – appropriate, since Salvador Dali spent time here and Spanish Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí designed several of the city’s buildings. Stepping into Gaudí’s Church of the Sacred Family is a bit like falling through the looking glass - a journey that you can continue with a visit to Park Güell. Sip sangria at a sidewalk café in Las Ramblas while watching flamboyant street performers, then create your own moveable feast by floating from tapas bar to tapas bar.

JazzMan

The JazzMan, is a small jazz club but big on soul jazz, located in the Eixample district since 1979. It has two rooms where you will be quiet and you can talk without being attacked by a few decibels aggressive. The visitor to the JazzMan enjoy a friendly and cosmopolitan, a place where live music lovers with veteran artists and new talents of jazz, where you can enjoy a good collection of liquors, all listening to jazz in all its styles, combining with blues and soul. You can also enjoy small jazz performances Farre Marti would say "Because sometimes it requires much pomp to listen to a concert? Size conditions, which the artist away from the public, most important a good session, the music in the background. The musicians play in the attic, where the table nearest to the scene invades the space of the musicians, the musician of the moment has to take into account that at any turn, do not pull the gin and tonic on the ground of an amateur. The warmth and closeness is a reason enough to approach the JazzMan. Gato Perez would say, old friends meet to share feelings in a vertical position. Close your eyes and prepare to enjoy a moment of possibly the oldest club in Barcelona."
