The 5 Best Classes & Workshops in Hell's Kitchen, New York (NY)

February 4, 2022 Randal Brittian

Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

I brought my 15-year-old daughter and her friend for a few classes for the first time last month. To say I was impressed is an understatement. I was so thrilled by the level of professionalism and warmth exhibited by the staff in all positions - from the front desk to the instructors to the management. My observations from the day: the classes and general environment feel completely non-competitive. Everybody is there to improve their own skillset. There is no dance studio nonsense - everyone who walks through the door is made to feel they belong there and is treated with respect, no favorites, no judgment. There are people of all ages taking a great variety of classes. It is truly a productive and pleasant environment in which to dance - and in which to observe your child pursue her passion!
